Terms of Service - GreenActions

Welcome to GreenActions ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our software, platform, and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About GreenActions

GreenActions is a software platform that helps businesses estimate, track, and analyze their product- and company-level carbon footprints (PCF / CCF). The Service provides analytical and informational estimates only. It does not constitute certification, verification, or assurance under ISO 14067, GHG Protocol, or any other standard.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use GreenActions on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that entity.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use GreenActions lawfully and not to:

Copy, modify, or redistribute the Service or its content;
Reverse-engineer or attempt to access the source code;
Misrepresent results as verified or certified;
Upload unlawful or infringing data.

We may change or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. All prices are shown in EUR and may change with notice. Payments are processed by third-party providers; you agree to their terms. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, databases, and documentation are the property of GreenActions or its licensors. You may use them only within the scope of these Terms.

7. Data and Privacy

Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of the data you input. We act as a processor for that data only to provide the Service. For GDPR-regulated users, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available upon request.

8. Automated Features and Data Extraction

GreenActions may offer automated features, including AI-powered data extraction from uploaded documents (such as invoices or receipts). These features are provided "as is" and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and correcting all automatically extracted or processed data before using it for any purpose. We are not liable for any errors, damages, or losses resulting from the use of automated features or reliance on extracted data. Manual verification is strongly recommended for all automated outputs.

9. Accuracy and Third-Party Data Disclaimer

The Service uses emission-factor databases and external data sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any information or calculation. All results are estimates and must not be represented as certified values. You remain solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and using your data.

10. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
GreenActions is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, war, government action, internet outages).

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or fail to pay fees. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may request a data export.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms with notice via the platform or email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable EU law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thessaloniki, Greece.
